Why is participating at a European risk management Forum important to you?
The risk landscape is changing at an astonishing pace and it’s always good to be fully in the picture about what’s happening now and what we can expect for the future. Participating at a European risk management Forum is an important platform for sharing long-term views on future risks and how we can better manage them.
What does « aim for the future” mean to you?
It is important that we make sure that our products and services are future-proof. This inevitably involves greater use of technology. However, we cannot engage with technology without asking ourselves what impact it will have on society and the planet. When we talk about responsible AI, for example, we are asking a very basic question: what are our values? So it’s vital that we demonstrate responsibility we develop smart systems and corporate governance tools.
You will be presenting « The Risks and Opportunities of Big Data and AI: how can you make the most out of these technologies?« . What would you like the audience to remember after your session?
Collaboration is key. Sharing open tools and encouraging others to do so as well can help us all save a lot of precious time. We will all have to learn together and get a strong grasp on all facets of new technologies as they emerge. It will not take individual solutions, but instead a community learning together and sharing. I would like people to remember that innovation is important, and that we must innovate responsibly.
