I’m the Founder and CEO of the International Sustainable Finance Centre (ISFC), an apolitical, impact- driven and technical expertise-led think tank focusing on a range of sustainable finance topics. With headquarters in Prague, it is acting as a knowledge hub for the Central and Eastern European regions, while also carrying out international projects.
My personal work focuses on ways we can drive transformational change, and how to develop, implement and execute sustainability initiatives.
I am also a non-Executive Director for Pedal Me, a London-based logistics start up, and a Member of the Agora Energiewende Council for Europe.
Until recently, I was Director at RE-DEFINE, a boutique think tank based in London, where I oversaw the organisation’s strategy and its consulting services on sustainability and sustainable finance (ESG integration and climate stress tests).
Over the years, I have worked both for and with public and private sectors across different countries. My advisory work has included working with senior management to rework business strategies to integrate sustainability and people strategies with the aim of both increasing long-term profitability and fostering innovation.

I currently hold the role of a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, and until recently I was a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute, and a Think Visegrad Fellow at the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, where I provided expertise on Europe’s sustainable finance agenda.

Previously, I have worked as an adviser and speechwriter for a number of prominent European policymakers, and for several years I actively participated in the European Youth Parliament network. Born in Latvia, I am fluent in Latvian, English, French and Russian and have in the past launched successful initiatives in my home country. In addition, I have been honoured as a New Security Leader by the Warsaw Security Forum and a Future European Leader by the Prague European Summit.

I am a frequent speaker and moderator at international events, and am often invited to run in-house seminars for businesses, governments and financial institutions.

I’m alumna of the University of Glasgow, McGill University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
